One of my greatest regrets is not seeing this on the big screen. Moulin Rouge is a movie that rewards repeated viewings: what initially seems like an extended frenetic music video is both a retelling of the Orpheus and Eurydice myth and an exploration of the interplay between art and commerce in the entertainment business.

I really, really need to see the entire film having seen just bits and pieces of it, so thanks for the reminder. I agree with you - on the big screen would have been the way to go.
