Julie over at Happy Catholic posted her usual weekend joke (worth a stop every Saturday, I say!) and it reminded me of one of my favorite scenes from West Wing:



West Wing has always been one of my favorite shows. I watched it a great deal when I was pregnant with Alexandra,as it was the only thing I could watch on television during my first trimester. (It fulfilled two basic requirements: it rarely showed food, or people eating, and the camera was fairly static without a great deal of physical movement.) While I don't always agree with the politics of the show (which at least were explicit!) I've spent most of the last ten years wishing that Jed Bartlett was president, and that the White House was staffed by hard working, intelligent people who really cared about doing the right thing.

ANYWAYS, it was also frequently very funny in a wonkish sort of way, and this is my favorite bit.
